You can finally feel safe having nail services done here at Point Pleasant Wellness. All of the implements we use are sterilized by using a steam autoclave which follows the standard OSHA guidelines for infection control using "universal precautions" necessary in medical and dental settings.

The staff has had extensive advanced training, in addition to having achieved the designation of Certified Master Pedicurist, given by the International Pedicure Association. Presently they are also currently taking additional course work to earn the desigantion of MNT "Medical Nail Technician" through Dr Robert Spalding. Manicures and pedicures are done dry without using a common foot bath. This eliminates the chances of highly infectious cross contamination due to biofilm buildup.

The tools and techniques used do not cut the cuticles, therefore making these services safe for a person who is diabetic or has a compromised immune system.

For the person unhappy with the unsightliness of nail fungus, there is now a nail polish that helps to compat nail fungus.
