Our Staff and Practitioners
Childhood memories escaping hot and hectic city summers to a cool, calm lakeside cottage inspired the creation of Point Pleasant, a holistic day spa and wellness center serving the Ft Lauderdale and South Florida area. The wonderful time spent with family and friends, and the friendliness of neighbors, inspired the creation of an environment where someone could come to "escape" for the hustle and bustle of their daily life for a few hours while doing something good for the skin and body to make it healthier, look good and feel good.
We have a very professional and qualified staff committed to providing services and using products that are as natural, chemical free and healthy as possible. Combining quality products with gentle hands enable the staff at Point Pleasant Wellness Spa to provide pampering services that are effective with a longer lasting effect.

Acupuncture
Denise Douglas
Denise began her journey in the Healing Arts as a massage therapist. She spent over 10 years in a sucessful private practice. During that time she continually studied complimentary medicine techniques such as Reiki, Enzyme Therapy, and Naturopathic Medicine. She is a graduate of the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. Classical Five Element is set apart from other systems of acupuncture by its fundamental premise of diagnosing and treating the root of imbalance, also known as the "causitive factor." A person's entire constitiution - body-mind-spirit - must be taken into account in order to fully diagnose the cause of illness. "Instead of asking 'what kind of symptoms does a person have,' Classical Acupuncture asks 'what kind of person has these symptoms and why?"
