The value of daily exercise and body movement is tremendous and is often ignored in our hurried lifestyles.

We at Point Pleasant Wellness recognize this, and so, in honor of our continuing transformation and growth, we are now offering some wonderful ways to experience body movement and exercise.

We find this will compliment our other spa services and will allow our friends to experience even more ways of whole body wellness.

In addition, our classroom is available for health and wellness classes, workshops, and meditations that are complimentary to the goal of balancing mind..., body... and spirit. Organizations are also welcome to use our classroom and tea room as meeting space.

Yoga

Kathy Keating-KayTai Chi & Qigong with Kathy Keating-Kay

Tai Chi and Qigong are ancient practices using slow, meditative movements with breath while the mind remains alert to the spatial relationship between the body and surroundings. A regular Tai Chi & Qigong practice will revitilize muscles, bones, joints and organs through increased oxygen flow. Also, better balance, balanced blood pressue, stress reduction, and inceased oxygen intake are all part of the many benefits derived from Tai Chi and Qigong. Classes are fun, relaxing and an enjoyable group activity.

 

Yamuna Body Rolling with Kathy Keating-Kay

Roll away aches and pains while getting your body into great shape. Through routines ranging from the bottoms of your feet to the top of your head you will strengthen, tone and relaign the body. Utilizing small theraapy balls under dey areas of tension you will literally toll out your muscles. This technique is useful for ailments such as sciatica, back pain, neck and shoulder injuries, joint pain as well as everyday aches and pains from sports or workouts. Add it to your schedule for freedom, strength and ease of movements in your body.

 

"Chill Out" Crystal Bowl Meditation with Kathy Keating-Kay

A welcome destressing session that is dedicated to your wellbeing and flow of energy. Starting with pure aromatic oils to sooth your soul, a guided mindfulness mediation melts your body and mind into a deep healing place within you. The session finishes with the magical healing vibrations of crystal bowls washing through your body, mind and soul. Wear comfortable clothing.

 

Tiya LevyYogatastic with Tiya Levy

A class for Mom, Dad and children to take time to enjoy, relax and play.  The mission for Yogatastic is to bring awareness and connection to mind, body and spirit.  It is a great way for kids to learn about yoga, coordination, and flexibility along with releaxation and self confidence.  A wonderful family activity!

 

Nikki CostelloPilates and Personal Training with Nikki Costello

Nikki brings a lifetime of fitness experience to her coaching.  She is currently training with STOTT Pilates in Advanced Mat Work, as well as Injures and Special Populations.  She specializes in Holistic Lifestyle Coaching, Strength and Conditioning, Pilates and Corrective Stretching.

The Modern Day Mystery School is a community of souls committed to offering love and support, in a balance of giving and receiving, as we seek to learn and teach new spititual truths.

 

Tuesday Night Book Discussion

Through May 2010, author Joel Anastasi will be leading a discussion group for his book "The Second Coming, The Archangel Gabriel Proclaims a New Age." The book is a series of "channeled" interviews with Gabriel conducted over two years with Reiki master teacher, Robert Baker. Gabriel claims that mankind has entered a new 2000-year age which will lead to our spiritual unity.
